GSWSM will be holding its annual elections during the quarterly meeting on November 7, 2013. If you or someone you know is interested in serving please contact Arbi Papaghanian at apapaghanian@botsford.org, Tracey Proghovnick at tproghovnick@jslmi.org or Keith Angelocci at kangelocci@brightstarcare.com as soon as possible.
The following positions are up for election:
1. Chairperson (Must be a Social Worker)
Oversees the entire organization including Wayne , Oakland and Genesee Counties .
Presides over the annual board meeting.
Keeps in touch with Vice Chairs.
Attends to any issues that may come up.
Attends a minimum of one meeting in each county per year.
2. Program Chair (One for each County)
Secures locations and speakers for quarterly meeting.
Works with the speaker to have handouts available.
Complete and submits application for members to receive Continuing Education credits
Interfaces with the web master to publicize meetings and obtain RSVPs.
3. Secretary (One for each County)
Takes minutes at meetings.
Takes care of correspondence as needed.
4. Treasurer
Takes care of finances for the entire organization.
Works closely with Treasurer liaisons of each county.
Submits an annual financial statement to the board.
5. Treasurer Liaison (One for each County)
Collects money at each meeting and submits to Treasurer.
